USDA considers changes to the Farmers-to-Families Food Box program

USDA wants to know if it is time to overhaul the Farmers-to-Families Food Box program.

The Department says that the effort served some communities well, but faced challenges in others. The current round is funded through the end of April and USDA wants your comments on a revision by the end of March.

The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture has proposed several changes already, including increased participation by socially disadvantaged farmers and making more types of meat available.
