“Not Justified By Science": USDA’s new horse soring rule may destroy the walking horse industry

“There was a real rush to judgment here.”

USDA is strengthening regulations to end horse soring, assigning sole responsibility to APHIS for inspector screening and training. It is a move that some say will unnecessarily destroy the walking horse industry.

U.S. Congressman and House Ag Committee Member, John Rose stopped by the studio to speak with RFD-TV’s own Tammi Arender on this new rule, the implications it would have on the walking horse industry, and where do we go from here.
