Deepening drought in the northern plains is taking a toll on crops and pastures. Despite recent rain, producers continue coping with dry conditions as summer approaches.
South Dakota Farm Bureau President and AFBF VP, Scott Vanderwal speaks with RFD-TV’s own on current conditions, the impact of the drought, and how it compares to other years.
“We had a good start to the spring where we had fairly dry conditions, which we liked for planting purposes, but it is getting dangerously dry across most of the state now,” Vanderwal states.
