Canadian truckers have agreed to lift their blockades at ports of entry after the Prime Minister issued unprecedented emergency powers.
Those powers ban public assemblies at international borders and even freeze bank accounts of some people who have donated to the cause. So far, blockades at the Detroit and Montana borders have lifted. Truckers agreed to clear the blockade at the North Dakota border by lunchtime today, but truckers in Ottawa remain in place. The protests have brought business activity to a halt in the Capitol for more than two weeks.
