2017’s Farm Mom of the Year

America’s Farmers partner annually with Monsanto and The American Agri-Women to select five incredible moms for a contest highlighting the “Mom of the Year Award.” The goal of the project is to recognize women in agriculture whose dedication to their family, farm, community, and industry is unmatched. The regional winners have now been announced with a female that represents the important and continually evolving role that women play in American farms, families, rural communities and the agriculture industry. People can vote now through May 10th at AmericasFarmers.com.

This week the RFD-TV News team interviewed some of the recent regional nominees on the “Market Day Report.” You can get to know to get to know some of the candidates, their families, the role they play on the farm by watching the interviews below. On Monday, we spoke with the Northeast Region “Mom of the Year” nominees Susan Brocksmith from Vincennes, Indiana and Nancy Kirkholm from Homer, Nebraska. Then, Tuesday we spoke with Shari Sell-Bakker, the Midwest Region nominee from Dike, Iowa and the Southwest Region nominee, Becca Ferry, from Brigham City, Utah.
