FFA American Star Award Finalists

October 24, 2017

NASHVILLE, Tenn (RFD-TV)

Each year, standout FFA members are nominated for the American Star in Agriculture Placement Award, based on the accomplishments achieved through their Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE). A required activity for all FFA members, an SAE gives students the opportunity to learn via hands-on experience, by owning or operating an agricultural business, working or serving an internship at an agriculture-based business or conducting an agriculture-based scientific experiment and reporting the results.

Four finalists are named in each of the following four categories:

  • American Star in Agriscience
  • American Star in Agricultural Placement
  • American Star in Agribusiness
  • American Star Farmer

These future farmers represent the “best of the best” among thousands of American FFA degree recipients.

The winners in each category will be announced Thursday night at the FFA National Convention.
