NASHVILLE, Tenn (RFD-TV) Select Farm Service Agencies across the country will be open Friday, and next Tuesday, January 22nd, offering limited services to farmers. RFD-TV’s Sarah Mock sits down with the Ag Secretary for more. Sonny Perdue says after weeks of searching for a way to assist farmers in need of local USDA resources to prepare for the 2019 season, they’ve found it. There may be some frustrations for both farmers and employees as FSA offices reopen amid the shutdown, but Perdue says his Department will continue to seek creative legal justifications and solutions to get as many USDA customers the resources they need as the shutdown continues. For additional resources on which offices are open and what functions they’ll be able to assist with, visit usda.gov or USDA pages on Facebook or Twitter.
