U.S. organic sales double, but the value of all ag sales remained flat between 2012 and 2017.
According to Agri-Marketing, ag sales averaged 400-thousand dollars for organic operations in 2017, more than double the average for ag sales for all farms. California was the top state in both organic & overall ag sales, and Pennsylvania showed the fastest growth between 2012 and 2017, with organic sales up “ten and eightfold.”
