Suez Canal Authority set to release “Ever Given” investigation results this week

We could know by week’s end, exactly what caused a giant cargo ship to get stuck in the Suez Canal.

The “Ever Given” ran aground last month during a sand storm, blocking the canal for nearly a week and disrupting global trade.

The Suez Canal Authority says that it will announce the result of its investigation by the end of the week. Today, the Japanese owner said that Egypt has seized control of the ship and is demanding a billion dollars for canal damage and lost business.

The ship is sitting in a lake that separates two sections of the canal.
