A plant to preserve livestock grazing in Wyoming is getting some major pushback.
The U.S. Forest Service says it will conduct aerial herbicide spraying in a portion of Bighorn National Forest. It says that invasive species are threatening big game winter ranges, livestock forage ability, and other habitats.
The Wyoming Department of Ag and Stock Growers Associations supports the move, but conservationists say that aerial spraying will harm native species.
Bighorn National Forest covers more than a million acres in the state.
