Pilot fears the rail crisis will cut into U.S. diesel exhaust fluid supply

Some gas retailers fear that the rail crisis will cut into the nation’s diesel exhaust fluid and biofuel supply.

Union Pacific ordered Pilot Travel Centers to cut rail shipments by 50 percent or face embargoes. Pilot’s Chief Executive told the U.S. Surface Transportation Board the restrictions will prevent the company from keeping many markets supplied and will likely trigger reduced trucking capacity.
