New rail legislation could give a boost to market competition for U.S. wheat

Earlier this month we told you about the Freight Rail Shipping Fair Market Act, which aims to strengthen rail oversight and lessen supply chain issues for ag producers. New details show it would give a boost to market competition for U.S. wheat, which did not have a good market week.

The bill would reauthorize the Surface Transportation Board, which historically had support from the U.S. Wheat Associates and worked to develop policies benefiting wheat farmers and customers!

The CEO of the Association of American Railroads is pushing back saying the bill provides unjustified government mandates.
