U.S. Plant-Based Market Worth $5 Billion

RFD-TV’s Janet Adkison reports on the growth of the plant-based food market in the United States. In the past year, the plant-based food sales increased 11.4%; this surpasses retail food markets which only grew 2.2%.

With this increase in sales, the plant-based market is now worth 5 billion dollars. Alternative milk and dairy products are some of the goods helping this trend, as sales for plant-based milk is up 5%. As more people are trying and switching to plant-based, it is likely that this trend will continue.

Animal agriculture groups continue to press for regulation in labeling of plant-based products.
