Farmers in the Plains and Midwest were hit hard this weekend by several rounds of storms and severe weather, including dozens of reported tornadoes.
Rural communities are now cleaning up the damage after some saw an EF-3 twister. A farm family in Minden, Iowa lost a large shed on their operation and a greenhouse where they were raising plants to sell is now damaged.
The family’s home has also been titled off the foundation. Neighboring Nebraska was also hit.
The state’s governor has been assessing the damages all weekend and says it is an extraordinary miracle we came through this with no loss of life.
