(National Post)-- January 19th is country music icon Dolly Parton’s birthday. According to her she would like to celebrate it by being on the cover of Playboy.
This would be the second time Parton has graced the cover of the magazine. Her first appearance was back in 1978.
She was the first every country artist to pose for the magazine.
“I did Playboy magazine years ago. I thought it would be such a hoot... if I could be on the cover again when I’m 75,” she stated on 60 Minutes Australia.
She is set to be on the cover of the January 2021 issue at the age of 75, and she even stated that she would gladly wear the same outfit she wore 40 years ago.
During an interview with Playboy about her ’78 cover, Parton stated, “I was afraid at first, when we talked about it... It might not offend me, but I was afraid maybe a lot of my country fans and some of the people who love me who are of religious nature might not understand... Then I thought, it isn’t something I should be ashamed of. Playboy’s a real classy magazine, and I mean, who else but Dolly Parton should be on the cover of Playboy?”
