After much discussion among cattle producers and industry groups, APHIS has issued its final rule on traceability and will now require electronic ID tags.
A move USDA says will better help them respond to foreign animal diseases.
National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s Ethan Lane spoke with RFD-TV’s own Tammi Arender on highlights from the final rule, if this is “government overreach”, and how they are helping reduce the cost of implementation.
