Farm groups in New York call to keep the 60 hour overtime threshold in place

Leading farm groups in New York are calling for the 60 hour overtime threshold for farm workers to remain in place, highlighting the impacts to producers following a challenging year.

New York Farm Bureau’s Jeff Williams speaks with RFD-TV’s own Christina Loren on how it would impact ag in their state, how the threshold helps farmers, and what he would like to see be done.

According to Williams, “We are such a labor driven state with our fruits and vegetables and our dairy operations... if you keep increasing labor costs it’ll make it even harder for farms to do business in the state... it makes us totally not competitive with our neighboring states and certainly not with the world.”
