In Colorado, a coalition of state ag leaders is opposing what it calls “one of the most radical ballot initiatives.”
Initiative 16 would ask voters to criminalize common animal care and veterinary practices in the state, as well as ban slaughtering livestock that are younger than a quarter of their life span.
The group filed a motion last week to challenge the title set by the state.
