Groups are collaborating to study why liver abscesses are a costly problem for cattle producers

Slaughterhouses have been reporting an uptick in liver abscesses in beef from dairy cattle, which is costing the industry time and money. A collaborative effort is now underway to study the cause of the condition.

Dr. Rand Broadway with USDA’s Livestock Issues Research Unit joined RFD-TV’s own Suzanne Alexander about how they are caused, why there has been an uptick and the impact they can have on the industry and producers.
