NASHVILLE, TN (RFD NETWORK) — RFD-TV will expand its news lineup with two new original programs. Market Day Report Weekend premieres Saturday, April 18, and Commodity Talk premieres Monday, May 4. The additions build on Market Day Report, RFD-TV’s flagship weekday agricultural news program, and extend that coverage into Saturday mornings and the pre-market hour.

RFD-TV has become the singular, authoritative source for coverage of agricultural commodities markets, translating the complexity of ag markets into actionable intelligence for a broad and influential audience. RFD-TV provides nearly seven hours of agricultural news and market coverage each weekday. The programming follows the factors that move markets, including trade policy, USDA reports, weather, and global events. News viewership is up 42% since January 2026.*

“Markets move on information, and the people who depend on them need a clear view of what is happening and what comes next,” said David Mitchell, Chief Operating Officer & General Manager, RFD-TV. “That includes farmers and ranchers, along with the people who buy, sell, and plan around these markets every day. Our news programming follows those signals closely, with reporting and analysis that help our audience understand how market movement connects back to the work.”

MARKET DAY REPORT WEEKEND

Premieres Saturday, April 18 | Saturdays at 9 a.m. ET / 6 a.m. PT

Hosted by Eliza Petry, Market Day Report Weekend is a one-hour program focused on the week in agriculture. It brings together news, market analysis, weather, and reporting from across the country into a single Saturday broadcast.

Each episode includes:

  • Market analysis with Tony St. James, covering key commodity moves and what to watch in the week ahead
  • Weekend weather with Jeff Womack, with forecasts focused on field conditions and planning
  • Interviews with policymakers, industry leaders, and others working across agriculture
  • Feature stories from farms and rural communities to policy leaders

COMMODITY TALK

Premieres Monday, May 4 | Weekdays at 8:30 a.m. ET

Commodity Talk is a 30-minute weekday program hosted by Scott Shellady and guest analysts. The show airs ahead of market open and focuses on early signals, analysis, and conversation shaping the trading day.

Each episode includes analyst discussion and a live call-in segment, bringing in perspectives from producers, traders, and market participants.
