Beth Tucker grew up on a family farm and has continued her father’s legacy by raising cattle, horses, a goat and miniature pony in Kernersville, North Carolina. Over that time, she’s seen a lot of changes – including the migration of non-farmers moving to her rural area.
Tucker created a voluntary ag organization that helps educate new residents on agriculture production activity in the area. She hopes to help alleviate tension in the area when tractors are slowing traffic or the smell of manure is wafting through the air.
Not only is Beth Tucker a farmer, but she also is a full-time hair dresser that operates a beauty salon right on her farm! There’s more to being a FarmHer than just farming.
