Grow by FarmHer is Hitting the East Coast
Grow by FarmHer expands in its third year through North Carolina, West Virginia, and Ohio
(NASHVILLE, TENN. — January 24, 2018) The excitement of the “Grow by FarmHer” events continue into a third year, covering new states on the East Coast: North Carolina, West Virginia, and Ohio. The “Grow by FarmHer” events are designed to inspire, encourage and educate young women, ages 16 to 22, with a goal of helping them pursue their passion for agriculture through their future careers.
Newly announced events will take place at North Carolina State University on Tuesday, February 20; the West Virginia State University on Thursday, February 22; and the Ohio State University on Friday, February 23. A limited number of tickets are now available for each event at a cost of $35 per individual and $30 per person in a group of four or more.
“Our goal with the Grow series of events is to show young women that they can do anything they set their mind to,” said Marji Guyler-Alainz, president, and founder of FarmHer. “Through FarmHer we live the motto, if you can see if, you can go be it, and that is exactly what Grow will show these women who will play a significant role in the future of agriculture. By bringing together today’s successful women in the industry with the next generation of leaders, we aim to help these young women ‘Grow’ as a FarmHer.”
A lineup of dynamic speakers, who are FarmHers themselves, will appear at each event during the Grow by FarmHer series of events. The speakers include Cristen Clark, a food blogger at ‘Food and Swine’ and pig farmer as well as Marleen Eick, co-owner of the media company, Herdmark Media and life coach. Marji Guyler-Alaniz will talk about the purpose and mission of FarmHer. Other powerful women in agriculture will join the event while participating in the panel discussion and as mentors during lunch.
Whether Grow participants are looking to expand their interests in agriculture, continue their education in the many diverse ag-related majors, or are wondering what their future career opportunities might be, the “Grow by FarmHer” events are a great way to connect with mentors and the women who are leading the industry.
Registration is now open at www.GrowbyFarmHer.com and will close February 1. For updates, follow @FarmHer1 on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
