How is USDA wrapping up data collection for WASDE?

The latest WASDE numbers will be released Wednesday.

We will soon get an update on the World Supply and Demand forecast.

Farmers and traders will have a better idea of the size of this year’s corn, soybean, rice, and cotton crops in the latest WASDE report. The USDA’s Outlook Board Chair explains how the Department is currently wrapping up data collection.

“They’re out in the field right now doing objective yield surveys using their scientific methods to do some yield forecasting based on that. They are also surveying farmers, who at this point, can start reporting on harvest results,” said Mark Jekanowski.

The latest numbers will be released on Wednesday at 12 pm ET.
