If you are leery of getting the COVID vaccine, you are not alone.
A new poll by a San Francisco non-profit finds that rural Americans are among the most hesitant groups to get the jab.
Three in ten rural Americans said they will get the vaccine. That is compared to four in ten in urban areas. Twenty percent said that they will not get the vaccine.
When it comes to fear over getting the virus, 39 percent said that they are not worried. That is compared to 23 percent of urban adults, and more rural Americans view the vaccine as a personal choice, rather than everyone’s responsibility to protect others.
The survey found several factors leading to the disparity, including rural residents’ views on the severity of the virus.
