Where have all the walnuts gone? Check under the hood!
A Pittsburgh area couple got a surprise when they found squirrels stored over 200 walnuts under the hood of their SUV. Chris Persic tells KDKA TV that his wife complained about a “burning smell” coming from the engine. When she popped the hood, she found the engine covered with walnuts and grass.
They took the SUV to a mechanic who found half a trashcan of walnuts under the engine, but not extensive damage.
The Persics have also gotten a quote on removing the walnut tree from their property.
