$2 million worth of hemp stolen in Colorado

UNION CO. (WSIL) -- The Union County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of approximately $2 million of hemp.

Officials say the theft occurred sometime between Nov. 1 and Nov. 14 as it was discovered on Nov. 14. In total, about 42 acres worth of the crop were stolen.

The grower told investigators the entire field of hemp had the tops removed.

There was another hemp heist from a separate warehouse in the county as well.
