This morning the House passed the Democrat’s social spending bill. The Build Back Better plan contains more than $80 million dollars for agriculture, but some ag groups, like the Farm Bureau, say it contains too much other spending that will harm rural America.
Late Thursday, the Congressional Budget Office said that the bill would add $367 billion dollars to the federal deficit.However, this does not take into account money the IRS would collect through the expanded tax enforcement plan.
All Republicans, including those on the House AG Committee, voted against the bill. It now heads to the Senate, where it is bound to get more pushback.
