New data shows South Korea is straying away from buying U.S. corn.
They’re diversifying suppliers, which has led U.S. producers to have the lowest share since 2004. South Korean buyers have complained U.S. corn is broken and contains foreign material. They’re turning away Pacific Northwest cargoes and buying more from South America. Trade data indicates the decline may continue throughout the year.
