Trevino withdraws from Ag Negotiator nomination

Elaine Trevino has officially withdrawn her nomination for Chief Ag Negotiator for the U.S. trade Rep. That sends the Biden administration back to square one in finding someone to represent farmers on the international stage.

She is the former CEO of the California Almond Alliance.

In a letter to the President, she said that she sees no clear path forward since the Senate will not schedule a confirmation hearing. She will now work on ag supply chain issues.
