Tyson Foods said Wednesday it will cooperate with the U.S. Department of Justice’s investigation into price-fixing in poultry.

The news comes after the first criminal charges in the price-fixing probe. Last week, two former Pilgrim’s Pride executives and Claxton Poultry executives were found by a U.S. grand jury to have conspired to fix prices and rig bids for broiler chickens from at least 2012 to 2017.

The cooperation from Tyson is under a program that could protect its employees from criminal prosecution in the case. Tyson was subpoenaed in April of 2019.
