The Northern Lights hindered farmers’ ability using precision agriculture

Much of the United States was captivated recently by the ability to see the Northern Lights from their backyards, but it was not exactly an ideal situation for farmers utilizing precision agriculture.

Kansas State University Associate Professor Dr. Terry Griffin joined RFD-TV’s own Suzanne Alexander to discuss what a solar storm is, if the ag industry ended up with major impacts, and if there are any alternative methods for farmers to use when a similar event happens.
