After more than 100 years in the same ranching family, a Montana operation has been sold and is now the priciest close in the state, in recent history.
Located between the Little and Big Belt Mountain ranges, Camas Creek Cattle and Sheep Company has over 30,000 acres and has been in the family since the early 1900s. The property includes three houses, all over 2,000 square feet, and 7.5 miles of creek water running through it.
The buyer was Steve Rooney. Rooney is a longtime ranch owner who made his money in oil and gas. He plans to continue to run the property as a cattle operation, raising and selling Angus bulls, according to the Mansion Global.
Swan Land Company handled the listing and sold the property for more than $50 million dollars.
