AFBF on servicing rural America with quality internet amid COVID

As residents adapt to COVID-19, many school districts are opening virtually and healthcare services are operating via telehealth platforms. Yet more than 19 million rural Americans do not have high-speed internet access.

American Farm Bureau’s Megan Nelson speaks with RFD-TV’s own Janet Adkison on what was included in the CARES Act regarding rural broadband and what future legislation might aid rural communities access to quality internet. According to Nelson, “Looking forward, I think it’s looking at a lot of the infrastructure that’s going to be necessary, as well as the mapping, to really point out exactly where broadband is and where it is not, to direct the funds where needed.”
