Three restaurant chains are suing over price fixing scheme

Three major restaurant chains are suing poultry processors in a price fixing scheme.

Cracker Barrel, Golden Corral, and White Castle all filed lawsuits seeking refunds on inflated prices they paid. Tyson Foods and Pilgrim’s Pride are named in the suit.

The restaurants say that the actions have been taking place since 2012, but recent indictments just brought the issue to light.

Earlier this month, Pilgrim’s agreed to pay more than $110 million dollars and plead guilty to its role in the scheme.
