Sen. Grassley hopes President Biden will leave WOTUS alone

The ag sector has expressed some concern about what will happen to the Waters of the U.S. rule, or WOTUS. Specifically, if the Biden Administration makes changes to the Trump rollbacks and has jurisdiction over waters on your property.

Senator Chuck Grassley says that he hopes the administration leaves it alone.

“President Trump instituted a revision of the Obama rule, which was a common sense approach that protected individual property rights and clean water while providing much needed certainty to farmers,” the Senator states. “I hope that the Biden administration don’t reopen this nightmare for rural Americans... but if they do, I’ll be speaking to him or anybody that’s involved.”

Grassley says that he will be having conversations with his colleagues from rural American and he will be following up with the administration.
