Sen. Ernst: We need to stop some policies that target animal ag

An Iowa Senator is supporting the meat industry with a bill that would ban meatless policies for federal employees.

Senator Joni Ernst says that the Obama administration tried to establish “Meatless Mondays.” She says efforts that target animal agriculture need to be stopped before they start, and before they trickle down to school lunch programs.

According to Sen. Ernest, “The federal government mandates through various programs what our children are eating in school and what we don’t want to see is this creep through the Biden policies of starting to eliminate meat products in schools.”

Kansas Senator Roger Marshall backed Sen. Ernst’s bill. He says that he is proud to support preventing prejudice towards ag products.
