If the drought itself was not bad enough, now it is bringing a plague of grasshoppers to farmers and ranchers in Oregon.
One rancher called the plague a crisis as they brought the issue before their county government.
Three ranchers have asked the county to work with federal agencies to implement control programs. The grasshoppers are stripping what gas and vegetation is left from the drought, destroying crops, pastures, and grazing allotments.
