AFBF points out areas of consideration to address supply chain concerns

The American Farm Bureau is asking Secretary Vilsack to take immediate action to address supply chain issues, and they have some key areas for consideration.

These include:

  • Taking action on livestock markets and processor capacity

  • Increased cost and availability of farm inputs and transportation backlogs, both on highways and waterways

  • The farm group says that labor is also difficult to access and expensive, making small margins even tighter

  • Trade issues under the Phase One China agreement still need a resolution
