N. Carolina State Vet on HPAI’s threat to poultry producers

Two more cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza were recently found in wild birds.

One is in South Carolina and the other on the coast of North Carolina. This follows last week’s discovery which was the first case in six years.

North Carolina state veterinarian, Dr. Michael Martin spoke with RFD-TV’s own Janet Adkison on the threat this poses to agriculture, the risk to poultry producers, and steps they can take to strengthen their biosecurity.
