As the ag industry keeps an eye on cancellations and postponements amid COVID-19, the nations largest outdoor farm event is currently still on as scheduled. The 2020 Farm Progress Show will kick off September 1st in Boone, Iowa.
RFD-TV’s Janet Adkison speaks with, national events manager, Matt Youngman on decision to carry on as scheduled. He states, “For the most part, the Farm Progress Show is a real easy place to social distance and still get good information and spend a nice day or two away from the farm before harvest starts.” As opposed to an inside event, they will be able to increase the tent area sizes to be more accommodating to social distancing, as well as installing sneeze guards and manipulate traffic flow.
