2023’s Most Endangered River and the contributions it makes to the ag industry

Water supplies along the Colorado River may be in more danger than we thought.

American Rivers has released its annual report of the country’s most endangered rivers for the year, and the Colorado River is the front runner! States along that river have been given the chance to decide how to cut back their water use after years of prolonged drought, but the Bureau of Reclamation has had to step in.

The river provides water for nearly 6 million acres of farm and ranch land in the heart of vegetable country. American Rivers hopes its report sounds the alarm for a national call to action.
