4-H member’s work on invasive pests wins National Youth in Action Award

Ignite by 4-H is an inclusive teen event held in Washington, D.C. for four days! This conference allows hundreds of 4-Her’s members to explore stem, agriscience, and career readiness. This event also spotlighted 4‑H Youth in Action Award winners.

Tarmmi Arender introduces us to one of those winners, Matias Habib, who is being recognized nationally for developing his own patent-pending bio-pesticide and startup business through a 4-H entomology project.

Matias’s project awarded him a $5,000 scholarship, and he has been telling his inspiring story to the current members of the organization.
