Mount Rushmore

This year’s celebration of America’s birthday will go off with a bang at Mount Rushmore, KOTA-TV reports.

The National Park Service announced the return of the Fourth of July celebration fireworks after an 11-year absence due to fire concerns. An environmental assessment found the fireworks would not cause a significant impact.

The celebration still depends on the COVID-19 pandemic guidelines, as well as the weather.

A specific date and event schedule has not yet been released.
