A Louisiana man has been arrested for cattle rustling.

The 70-year-old man is accused by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry’s Livestock Brand Commission of stealing twelve head of cattle.

In November of last year, officials received a complaint from a local producer on the matter.

The investigation discovered that Overton High had stolen 12 cattle and then proceed to sell them at an auction in Texarkana, Texas.

He went on to admit to taking and selling the cattle.

“In this case, our Livestock Brand investigators were able to piece together the facts through their network of law-enforcement agencies which include the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office and Special Rangers with the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers’ Association,” LDAF Commissioner Mike Strain stated, according to KTBS.
