The AFBF has the latest updates on the ag markets in the wake of COVID-19. According to AFBF, most of the agriculture markets have seen a heavy decrease. Numbers show that live cattle, cotton, hogs, and milk have decreased more than twenty percent.
Zippy Duvall, the President of AFBF, states, “Bottom line, the impact is not simply a matter of supply and demand. The entire food chain is trying to adapt and to match supply with the changes in demand, meanwhile the markets continue to swing daily.” He also wants the public to know that there is not a shortage in the food supply.
