Farmers along the Gulf Coast are bracing for Hurricane Laura. With the Category 4 storm expected to grow, concern is rising over the potential threat of flood on the farm.
Natalie Roy, the executive director for AgriSafe Network, spoke with RFD-TV’s Janet Adkison on the possible rural impact of the storm and what are her biggest concerns.
“Flash flood safety is a high concern... but once the storm has passed... we’re really concerned here at AgriSafe about what happens when a farm floods, and how farmers can go back to their farms and have safe recovery plans,” she said.
