One year ago Alex Trebek was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The one-year survival rate for the diagnosis is 18%. On the Jeopardy Facebook page, Trebek announced he had reached that milestone.
Trebek noted how difficult the journey has been, but if he takes it one day at a time, with a positive attitude, anything is possible.
Trebek has been the host of the game show since 1984 and said he will continue to do his job “as long as my skills have not diminished.”
