Grab your appetite, and get ready for a taste of Texas like never before. From the panhandle to the heart of “Alamo City,” there’s no shortage of delicious new dishes (and not to mention some fantastic wines). Dig in to “Goodtaste with Tanji,” on RFD-TV.

The program focuses on chefs and popular dishes from restaurants across the culinary spectrum, along with wines, cocktails, and spirits, too. As a travelogue, the show visits restaurants, diners, and eateries across the Lone Star State in fun and adventurous settings, plus the program occasionally travels to neighboring states like Louisiana and New Mexico. In addition, the show educates viewers on wine pairings and value buys available in current wine trends.

Host Tanji Patton is an Emmy Award-winning journalist with over two decades of covering local and world news events. She has long been a wine enthusiast and ‘foodie’ at heart, having explored famed wine regions all over the globe. In 2007, she decided to pursue her lifelong passion for food and wine by creating the ‘Goodtaste’ brand. In recent years, her family embraced a more rural lifestyle, yet she is in her element when dealing with world class chefs and sommeliers, and she’s even trained in select courses from the Culinary Institute of America in San Antonio. With a Level 2 certification from the Wine Spirit and Education Trust of London as well, she is perfectly suited to guide viewers on adventures in food and wine across the spectrum.

The popular syndicated food and wine series is celebrating its 11th season, currently airing weekly in 17 Texas markets, Oklahoma, and in Nashville. The program is also distributed digitally through other platforms and its website, Goodtaste.tv.

The inaugural season on RFD-TV includes visits to the bayous of Cajun country in Southern Louisiana, a “rodeo restaurant” outside of San Antonio, Texas Monthly’s #1-ranked barbecue joint in the Lone Star State, and a 5-star restaurant in North Texas redefining how farm-to-table trends are carried out.

“We are thrilled to partner with Rural Media Group to bring ‘Goodtaste’ to RFD-TV,” executive producer and show host Tanji Patton said. “With our focus on the Lone Star State plus the amazing cuisine of ‘Cajun’ and ‘Creole’ in Louisiana, traditional dishes of Mexico, and other delicious flavors of the great Southwest, we believe the viewers of rural America will truly enjoy every tasty moment of our adventures in food and wine.”
