Ken Slater Sr. had his home burglarized and his truck stolen just before the holidays.
That is when something truly special happened. An anonymous Oklahoman gifted the veteran a check for $25,000.
The individual wanted to remain unnamed but wanted the gift to help relieve some of the stress for Slate. The check also included a note telling Slate why they wanted to give him the check.
“I am giving you this money in the name of Jesus. He loves you. Don’t look for me or thank me, I am just passing through. This is from the Lord.”
Slate could only muster a few words after receiving the check.
“God has a special ways on taking care of people. This will help me survive,” said Slate.
