The Georgia Southern University Armstrong Campus has created an aquaponics program that helps supply the campus’s cafeteria. This in hopes to increase sustainability, aquaponics appeal to the mainstream, and the economically favorable for farming.
The aquaponic process incorporates marine life and farming. It uses fish waste and the waste is used to fertilize the plants while a continuous water recycling operation occurs.
